The average candle is made with paraffin wax, which is derived from crude oil. This is a non renewable resource that can produce harmful emissions. When burned, paraffin wax can emit toxic carcinogens into the air. Paraffin wax candles release harmful vapors, produce black soot, and burn at a higher temperature. This results in candles not lasting as long and can create a danger of the wax getting too hot and damaging the glass.
These are just some of the reasons why we use all natural soy wax in our candles. Soy wax is derived from soy beans making it a non-toxic, organic, and vegan which allows each candle to burn cleaner. Soy wax is proven to have theraputic benefits, like stress relief and improved air quality. Burning soy wax produces half as much cardon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere. Soy wax burns at a lower temperature than parrafin wax allowing soy wax candles to burn completely and safely.
